Please read this statement carefully before using the UCAS Line Counter add-on (the “Add-on”) operated by Wonky Logic (“us”, “we”, or “our”).
General purpose of data use
Data is processed by the UCAS Line Counter to count the number of lines in a selected block of text according to the UCAS method of counting lines. All data processing takes place within the Google Cloud Project, no data is sent to third party services.
In order for the Add-on to work correctly the Add-on needs to access aspects of your personal data in your Google profile, this is so that the Add-on knows it is you using it. The Add-on will request access to the following aspects of a user’s Google Account:
Email address. The Add-on needs to know the Google Account credentials for the user who installs the Add-on and associate those credentials with the user. Google Account credentials includes the user’s email address.
This data is used to enable installation of the Add-on and to give the user access to the Add-on during use. Account credentials are not stored by the Add-on or sent to third party services. This data is not stored by us.
Google Profile. The Add-on needs to know the Google Account credentials and personal information for the user who installs the Add-on and associate those credentials with the user.
This data is used to enable installation of the Add-on and to give the user access to the Add-on during use. Account credentials and personal information are not stored by the Add-on or sent to third party services. This data is not stored by us.
Google Docs. The Add-on needs to be able to read the contents of a user’s Google Docs documents.
In order to work correctly the Add-on needs to be able to read the text in documents and process that text. This is a read only function; it does not edit text documents or add new text to documents. A user is in control of what text within a document to give the Add-on access to. The user chooses which documents to use with the Add-on. If a document contains Private Data that the user does not want the Add-on to have access to they should not use the Add-on with that document.
Text from documents are not stored by the Add-on or sent to third party services.

If Personal Data is processed by the Add-on it is not kept in logs or otherwise shared. The Add-on only processes Personal Data that is passed into it by the action of the user.
The Add-on does not send private or sensitive data (“Private Data”) to third party services. Private Data that is processed by the Add-on is done so within Google Cloud Platform only to enable the legitimate functioning of the Add-on (installation and use). Private Data is not stored by us outside of the Google Cloud Platform and it is not sold by us. By inputting Private Data into a Google Doc which has the Add-on installed you agree to the Add-on processing that Private Data in accordance with the essential function of the Add-on. If you do not agree to the Add-on processing Private Data do not input Private Data into the Add-on.
